Ordering Fencing Whites (Uniforms)

One of the issues facing fencers, or parents of fencers, is what measurements are needed to order the fencing cloths? This will depend specifically on the supplier you are going through, but in general, here are the measurements that need to be provided:

  • Height
  • Length of arms (Measure with arms extended out to the sides, from finger tip to finger tip in a straight line. This is usually close to height, but can differ.)
  • Chest (Measure the widest part around the chest.)
  • Waist – belly (Mesure the band around the body at the belly button.)
  • Waist – belt (Measure the place your pants normally sit.)
  • Hips (Measure the widest part around the buttocks.)
  • Inseam (Measure from crotch to floor inside of leg.)
  • Hand size (Measure around the palm.)
  • Handedness (Right- or left-handed.)
